What Are Moodlights?

Moodlights are custom designed free standing sandblasted glass pieces that are seated within handmade wooden bases with LED light strips built in.  The light strips can be multi coloured or white only, and the colour and intensity of the light can be controlled remotely.  The light shines in the sandblasted design and in the edge of the glass, creating a gentle, soothing light, bright enough to permit you to find your way in a dark room, but not bright enough to read by.  

I call them Moodlights because of the soothing quality of light they emit, and because you can control the intensity and color of the light to suit your mood!

Moodlights are lovely, unique pieces of art that can light up an otherwise dark entrance, or shine in a hallway where you would like to find some welcoming light when you come home.  The LED lights will work for a long time without losing their intensity, they use very little power and build up no heat. 

Moodlights can be made to almost any size with pretty well any design you would want. I like to categorize them into these groups.  1) Small Moodlights, 2) Medium Moodlights, 3) Moodlights from photographs, and 4) Large Moodlights.  These are not clearly divided categories. They are just a tool for me to approach a limitless concept.
