Interior Handrails with Otters and Orcas

Elfriede Foster knew exactly what she wanted when she first contacted me, otters and killer whales.  The challenge for me was how to fit them together on the glass panels.  Realistically I don’t believe that otters and killer whales live side by side.  I suggested doing the killer whales in the upper panels and the otters down along the stairs so they each had their separate space.  

At the time my husband was very interested in LED lighting. He and Elfride Foster’s partner joined forces in installing LED lights around all the panels. The final project is beautiful during the day and dramatic at night.
